Sleep Tips and Resources
Each week of your Mentorship Program you will see additional tips and resources related to the Health & Fitness skills you’re learning.
Morning Warmup is an excellent way to improve sleep. Starting the day with intentional movement sends a signal to your nervous system that the day has begun and it can start the clock to have you ready for bed at night.
Sleep is an incredible recovery tool. Professional athletes will sleep 10 plus hours during their season because they know the benefits of muscle recovery through sleep. When we sleep is when our muscle fibers repair so sleeping more after tough workouts will accelerate recovery and reduce soreness.
Consistency is crucial to quality sleep. Waking up and going to sleep at the same time (or close it) each day, including weekends, teaches your nervous system when it’s time to be awake and when it’s time to sleep. This makes it easier to fall asleep and wake-up and is good for your circadian rhythm.
