If you landed on this page, this likely isn’t your first time looking into a weight loss program. There’s also a good chance you at least feel like you know what you need to change or fix about yourself to get to the magical number that makes your life complete and easy to succeed in anything you do after you reach said number. You probably have even tried a few trendy diets like paleo, protein maxing, low carb, high fat, low fat, fasting, lots of small meals, one big meal, meal replacements, supplements and maybe even some maple syrup with cayenne.
If any or all of that last paragraph is true, first let us tell you that you are not a failure. And second, maybe you’re ready for something different? Something that is not sold to you by an expert, influencer or deep marketing campaigns making you believe they have a magic pill or program to follow that is easy, simple and guaranteed to work.
We can’t and won’t ever guarantee you will lose 20 pounds in six weeks or even months, because if you did it would be a long term detriment to your overall health and unsustainable leading to relapses and feelings of defeat
So what then, does a Spears Strong Healthy Weight & Weight Loss program actually help you accomplish? Skills and structure that we help you attain and create that you can use for the rest of your life.
As you’ve found through your life experience, there isn’t a magic pill or program that you partake in for a few weeks or months and everything has changed. What it really takes to maintain your ideal weight is a lifestyle that supports it now and long term. It’s not about sacrificing and torturing yourself for a period of time, but creating a lifestyle that you can maintain and that actually supports you instead of torturing you.
Instead of giving you a timeframe of sacrifice and torture, together we investigate your lifestyle and start working on building just one skill you are ready to work on. Maybe it has something to do with sleep or stress, how to cut or buy vegetables, breathing better, going for a walk or getting your body to feel good enough to want to go for a walk.
Another way of looking at this, we help you add skills to your lifestyle making you a more dynamic human rather than sacrificing from your current lifestyle. How does this lead to weight loss? Working on building a skill takes extra effort which is extra energy which over time leads to weight loss. Sounds boring? Maybe. But maybe it’s just the way you’re framing what weight loss looks like and what needs to be done to maintain a healthy weight. So let me reframe it for you.
Maybe it’s creating a journalling, walking or breathing routine that is focused on calming your stress and anxiety. Any one of those routines added to your current lifestyle at first is going to be really hard to get started at and hold yourself to. But if you’re doing any of those routines to be more resilient to your current demands of life, holding yourself to get started daily has duel returns on your investment. One, it’s helping with stress management and two, doing anything that is difficult, like getting started on a journaling, walking or breathing routine, takes extra effort or energy, which leads to weight loss.
What happens when it is no longer difficult to get started with your journaling, walking or breathing routines? Without the extra effort you’re not using extra energy. Your sneaky nervous system learns how to balance out the energy usage with your new lifestyle and you stop losing weight. So what do we do? Together we come up with the next skill you would like to build for yourself which will use extra effort and thus extra energy and the potential for additional weight loss.
“… we help you add skills to your lifestyle making you a more dynamic human rather than sacrificing from your current lifestyle.”
We will also educate you about skills that you maybe didn’t even know you could work on or how skills that support your sleep and nutrition not only use extra energy but amplify your abilities to take on challenges throughout your day. Simple way of looking at this: poor sleep leads to less energy available to make good decisions or give any extra effort throughout the day, which leads to poor nutrition choices which leads to you getting yet another night of poor sleep. And that’s putting it simple.
Another added bonus, our Healthy Weight & Weight Loss programs are supported by our team of personal trainers who use your nervous system to turn dormant muscles on, helping you have more muscle available for balance, strength, coordination and confidence in your body, which uses more energy daily on your journey.
What does this look like for pounds off the scale? Somewhere between a half a pound to two pounds a month, along with new skills for a lifetime. That’s six to 24 pounds a year, more likely somewhere in between, which will also be sustainable for you. Science shows that losing more than two pounds a month means you are losing muscle mass, along with fat, which long term makes you more vulnerable to falls and injuries and a slower metabolism.
Although we can’t promise you drastic weight loss over a short period of time of torture, we can support your development of new skills and provide a path to feeling good about yourself. Our programs have been used in conjunction with GLP-1 users to keep muscle from disappearing and energy up!
