In case you forgot … it’s Friday! (a little fun on the blog)

Happy Friday! “Or as we call it now: Day.”

So much truth in that one-liner from Dave Jorgenson of the Washington Post. All of our routines are disrupted, blurring our memory or maybe even care of what day of the week it is, whether the quarantine has you rapid-fire scrambling to adapt your business to this new world (like it has us at Spears Strong) or you’re working from home for the first time, adapting to furry friends and kids photo bombing your video conferences or maybe you’re off work right now, wondering what to do with your day,

I mean, if I didn’t tell you it was Friday and you didn’t know what day it is … is it really Friday? Ok, ok, too deep for today, which IS Friday and that means fun and light content on our blog.

Editor’s Note: We take what we do seriously at Spears Strong, and there are a lot of serious things happening around us right now. But … if you’ve ever been to Spears Strong or met our founder and my husband Jonathan Spears, you know that sense of humor and laughter are equally as integral. Definitely limit your time on technology and find ways to, as a family, put down the phone and do something meaningful - like get outside- together.

Drinking problem?

With disrupted routines and so many distractions at home, it can be easy to forget to do one of our most basic and important human needs: HYDRATE. Let these be your comical reminders to drink more water! Courtesy of Three Amigos and Airplane.

I’ve talked a lot, and I’ve struggled myself with this, about limiting your time checking news updates. The deluge of bad news, scary stats and constant pointing out of all the unknowns, is just anxiety inducing, especially if we don’t limit it.

BUT, there is a LOT of good news out there if you look for it.

The Good News Network has a barrage of happy stories and positive stories from this pandemic.

My favorite headline from their site is this nursing home that created a hungry hippos game for its residents to keep spirits up! Laughter and engagement is so important for all of us right now.

Cowboy Twitter

I think I have saved the best for the last. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma let their head of security Tim Send, take over the Twiiter account while the museum is closed amid COVID-19. It’s so so good. Sweet and hilarious.

And another that never gets old. Elaine dancing.

Need help with that hydration problem we mentioned earlier (and getting on track with your other healthy habits)? Spears Strong is here to help.
