Funny and uplifting things that are helping us deal - a little levity for your Friday

“Laughter is a bodily exercise, precious to health,” according to Aristotle.

We take what we do seriously at Spears Strong, and there are a lot of serious things happening around us right now.

But … if you’ve ever been to Spears Strong or met our founder and my husband Jonathan Spears, you know that sense of humor and laughter are equally as integral.

Definitely limit your time on technology and find ways to, as a family, put down the phone and do something meaningful - like get outside- together.

But … if you find yourself ON-THE-LINE …

… it’s nice to have some things to lift your spirits and get a nice chuckle, rather than letting the intensity take over.

For Jonathan, and then subsequently me, the Bernstein and McKnight Chicago sports radio show (podcast) has both been a source of news updates and entertainment … like the girl from Vancouver, Washington who realized the fancy soap she was using to wash her hands was actually cheese!

Sometimes nostalgic or favorite characters talking about … nothing … helps.

Or just plain dumb … and dumber …

Lastly, if yo’ure not following the Oregon Zoo on-the-line, you should be.

Flamingo hug is all I need to say.

To leave you with one more … This one never gets old … Chicken!

As the world spins into chaos and confusion, it’s clear we at Spears Strong are not only able, but have a calling to help in our own very unique way. Over the next couple of weeks we’re going to send you a lot of information and I’m going to be sharing more of my journey and more of my story on our blog. I’m hoping to help you the way Jonathan and creating Spears Strong helped me: physically, emotionally and mentally. Email us at spears@spearsstrong.com if there are specific topics you want us to address.
